Some cards I made with "STICKLES"
its like glitter glue only better!
they look almost 3D in real life!

We've all gotten them...
the "you have to forward or else!" e mails!...
this one made me think...
(I hate it when tht happens!!!)


ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR. When you say, 'I love you,' mean it.

FIVE. When you say, 'I'm sorry,' look the person in the eye.

SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.

EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

TEN.. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.

TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN! .. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, 'Why do you want to know?'

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say 'bless you' when you hear someone sneeze.

SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice

TWENTY- ONE. Spend some time alone.

"Games" A new ATC

The challenge was to use one of the Tim Holtz stamps to create an ATC.

(ok, 6) then get 5 back. The last one will go to Ted (who owns Stampers anonymous)

It will be great to see what kind of creations I get back! swapping is always so much fun!

Its a new year. I cant believe that it took me this long to "update" my blog!
guess I just didnt know what to say....then I got a poem from a friend (thanks Trisha!)
and since it is 3 degrees outside right now...thought it fitting!

Michigan Winter Poem

It's winter here in Michigan

And the gentle breezes blow,

Seventy miles an hour,

At twenty five below.

Oh, how I love ole Michigan

When the snow's up to your butt.

You take a breath of winter

And your nose freezes shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful

So I guess I'll hang around.

I could never leave my Michigan

Cause I'm frozen to the ground!

I made a snow man. Yes...you read that right! Me. well...ok me and Matts niece Emma.

there wasnt that much snow but we did what we could!

complete with dogfood buttons and pinecone hair!

MASKS!! LOVE 'EM!!!!!

not your typical "Halloween" or "masquerade" but the new ones by Tim Holtz!

If you don't know what I'm talking about..its like a clear piece of thin plastic with forever "sticky note" glue on one side! you put them down on paper and ink around the mask making kool designs! i made one big sheet and cut it into quarters.

I wanted to make a card...my new brother in law just got engaged!!!!!

i used then distress inks..started with peeled paint (green) then moved the mask and put on brushed corduroy (lt brown) then moved the mask again and used weathered wood (blue).

Each layer added more dimension...it was hard to stop! then i had a heart stamp that i used with fired brick (red) and accented it with distressed stickles (another FUN discovery!).

I didn't really like how it turned out so i just stamped the heart, added some more flourishes and sprayed with gold shimmer. I'm soooo glad I had time to play today!!!
